Idea of freedom in compartment
Idea of freedom in compartment. The writer enioved the idea of beingalone, in the compartment. He thought that he was quite free to talk, sing, dance, practise golf-stroke or play marbles. He was free to open and shut every window. He couldbsit on any seat or lieon the cushions. But the writer did not do anyof these things. He lit a cigarette and began to read the newspaper.

Writer’sattempt to kill: The writer could not tolerate it any more. He decided to kill it. He struckablow with hisrisht hand. The mosquito dodged the attack. A regular fight now began. The writer tried every possible way to kill it, but all his attacks failed.
Author’s feeling of friendship : The writer developed sympathy for the mosquito. He decided to be magnanimous. He countermanded his punishments Sohe became friendly to the mosquito. He called the mosquito his fellow traveller and began to think of life and journey like a philosopher. |
